How did the extension enter my PC
Freeware is used to help questionable browser plug-ins spread. Setup is also not impossible via browser stores or official web pages so you may have voluntarily installed it. But usually, they are adjoined as extra offers that, unless you unmark them, will set up automatically alongside. And the use of Default settings during freeware installation fundamentally provides them the necessary authorization for installation. Those settings fail to inform you whether something has been added to freeware, so you need to use Advanced (Custom) settings instead. It is easy to avoid installation if something is indeed adjoined, and all you must do is deselect the boxes. If you are hasty, you might expose your OS to possible risks, so bear that in mind. And if it managed to install, erase Any Search Manager.
