What does Current Me do?
You are likely wondering how you managed to install an advertising-supported software without noticing. The installation happened through software bundles, possibly unwanted software are adjoined to freeware so that they may install together with it. There are two things you need to remember when setting up free applications. Firstly, if the freeware has an adware adjoined to it, you using Default mode will only give it permission to install. Opting for Advanced or Custom mode during free program installation is the way to go as you will not only be able to check for extra items but will be provided the option of deselecting everything. It is much more simple to deselect a few boxes than it would be to uninstall Current Me later on, so take our advise seriously.
Soon after you install the advertising-supported application, loads of advertisements will start popping up. And the only way to get rid of the adverts is to erase Current Me, and the sooner you do it, the better. The majority of your browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, will be affected. The ad-supported application will start making more personalized advertisements after a while. This is happening because an adware compiles information about you which is then used to create advertisements. An ad-supported application primarily intends to make money, so it is mostly harmless by itself but you shouldn’t let your guard down. As an adware does not check the web pages it will lead you to, you may be directed to a malicious one and download malevolent programs.
